New Sim only

Hello everyone

I’ve just bought a sim only contract to be delivered. I have been on a pay monthly handset contract for 3 years and very overdue an upgrade. Will they automatically cancel my pre-existing handset contract because I’ve bought this new sim only one or will I get charged for both unless I tell EE to cancel the original one?

many thanks

Hi @SL36

If your minimum term on your original contract was up then you should have just upgraded that SIM , unless you want another number.

To answer your question you will have two Sims, two numbers and two bills.

If you want to retain your original number on your new contract you'll need to port the number out onto a difference carrier, then port it back. To cancel you'll need to speak to EE CS on 150.

Thanks

For what you want you don't just order a new contract but you upgrade your existing plan. That way you keep your no. but only have 1 contract. You may still have time to cancel your order in the cooling-off period if you ordered online or by phone & then order your upgrade.
