Just after a bit of advice. I ordered a new EE SIM for my son. When ordering the sim I entered his old/current number, including the pac code. The old number/sim was a sky mobile one. The order confirmation acknowledged that we had chosen to keep the old number and said the number would transfer within 24 hours of the new sim being activated, but could take 2-3 days.
We put the new sim in the phone yesterday and it all seems to be working. Do we need to do anything further to “activate” it? The number hasn’t changed over yet. Is there anything further we need to do? Just checking so we don’t miss anything, which leads to it taking longer.

So long as you can make & receive calls and text messages. Your number will normally be transferred within 1 working day. So with the weekend and bank holiday it will be Tuesday at the earliest.
