I have just amended my contract to SIM only and the person I soke to said I would have an ESIM and should use my QR code to install it. How do I access he QR code however?

I wouldn't expect EE to swap it themselves when you upgrade, as the option should appear in MyEE under settings to do it yourself. Has EE processed the upgrade and your account shows your new plan?

Just to confirm, you currently have a working EE physical SIM in your phone? Are you choosing the option to "replace my SIM/eSIM"?
