Issues moving my BT number to EE

Hello, I have been facing an issue moving my by number to EE from BT.

unable to reach customer service after calling twice. Is there any way to move the numbers or another method to contact customer service?

when I signed up thought it would be seamless given the ‘great partnership’ but now I am wondering if made the wrong choice.

Funnily bt is easier to reach than EE 🤦🏽‍♂️

@ashanthm : Get your PAC from your current network & once you've got your EE SIM give the PAC to EE using Fill out this quick form to transfer your number .

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi @ashanthm

Thanks for coming here.

Was the transfer set up for you when you placed the order?

When did you receive the EE SIM card?

Leanne 🙂

When did you get your EE SIM, @ashanthm? Your number should port across the next working day automatically.

Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for the response. The person I spoke to from BT sent me PAC code and said I need to go through the conversion process. So I tried that once I got the sim on the 19th.

Tried calling the help desk but wasn’t able to get across to them after two attempts and waiting on the line for an hour each time.

this morning I tried calling the helpdesk and was given an option to provide the port in number and the pac code.

post this the conversion has happened this morning. I guess if the process can be streamlined to be auto or have the option to provide the pac code via SMS initially and if the adviser can provide the guidance of the process (via sms / auto conversion instead of the link provided) would be helpful. Attaching the error messages i received as well.

thankfully matter resolved now. Appreciate your help

Hi Leanne, thanks for the response.

no I was given a pac code which was asked to use via the conversion process. On receiving the welcome email, the message points to a form to input the assigned EE number / existing number and the pac code.

this is where issues are encountered. I share the error messages in a previous thread.

thankfully matter resolved now. Hopefully the agents can sort this out and do the set up and the welcome message can mention to wait for awhile or the sms port over option. The form referenced is the one which seems to be the problem

Same here - nightmare - new number not moved over after 24 hours, - no connection to send texts - should never have bothered except that BT say everyone will have to move over - good luck

Hi @colngran,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

When did you activate your EE SIM?

Has your BT SIM stopped working?

James

I have exactly the Same issue. My BT number has ported across and so my old BT SIM no longer works. I have no mobile data and can not make or receive calls and texts, unless I'm connected to wifi.

I get PDP authentication errors and I've reset everything a number of times and been on calls with EE customer service. It's now been 3 days. Yesterday I received a text saying everything was now complete and my complaint closed. This morning still zero mobile service.
