Hello,
I just installed this new sim and not receiving any sms.
Please suggest me what to do?
I have checked my message centre number.
I already have one connection from other network.

Message centre number is only relevant for sending SMS, not receiving.
Is this a new PAYG SIM or pay-monthly? Are you in the UK or abroad? If PAYG and in the UK, have you activated the SIM by making a chargeable call or sendng a chargeable text?
If you send a text to your own number, do you receive it? If you text NUMBER to 150, do you receive the expected response?

On my profile It just say Prepay

Prepay & PAYG are both terms to describe the same - a topup based pre-payment "Pay as you go" scheme as opposed to a pay-monthly billed contract.
I believe some recent PAYG SIMs now need activation before SMS can be received. Normally this is done by making a chargeable call or sending a chargeable text message.
Sending a text to your own number should satisfy both criteria, and also test resolution.

Now I am receiving text msgs. I am trying to create amazon account but not receiving OTP on this number

@Storedirect : Is the SIM on PAYG? If so, you need to top it up before you are allowed to receive SMS.

@Storedirect , please do not start a new thread, but continue in the one you have already started. As you have already been told, please try sending a text to your own number to activate.

Hey there @Storedirect.
Welcome to the EE Community!
Is it just these verification texts that aren't coming through now, or are you noticing issues with other numbers too?
Also are you using a brand new number here, or have you ported a number over from another network?
