Hi, I bought my son a SIM card for his (kids) smart watch but the watch keeps asking to make sure it has GPRS data but I don't know how to find this out.
Thanks

Hi @Neillee88
Welcome to the EE Community,
GPRS stands for General packet radio service which is a 2G data service it will be covered by any plan that comes with inclusive data.
Thanks
David.

Hi David thanks for the reply,
When the SIM is in it comes up with 4g next to the signal bars would this mean this has GPRS data on the SIM?
Thanks for the help

@Neillee88 4G (LTE) is more advanced than 2G (GPRS)

Thanks for the reply,
Do you think it's possible that I have bought the wrong SIM or do you think that a 4g SIM should still work for the GPRS. Sorry I'm not very clued up on this kind of stuff
Thanks

You wouldn't find a 2G (GPRS) SIM nowadays anyway. So you'll just have to settle for 4G. It'll work!
