From Pixel 4a e-sim to 6a with e-sim question

My current Pixel 4a uses e-sim for my EE personaly number and a physical sim for work, no problem there - I've now got a Pixel 6a and need to transfer my e-sim across (and also use the physical work sim) - do I just order a new e-sim on my account then once it's available, I scan the QR into new phone and it works straight away or is there possible downtime etc?

Appreciate any help.

Hi @insert_name

Welcome to the community.

Yes, you order an eSIM through your My EE account then scan it into the new phone. It can take up to 24 hours, but it's usually done within the hour.

Just to report the new esim transfer went smoothly and took seconds to activate.
