Can’t set up esim

I am trying to set up the safer eSIM on my daughters phone. 

got the email with instructions 

 

Download your eSIM

To register your EE account and get your eSIM, you’ll need to:

 

  1. Go to ee.co.uk/go/login and log in with your EE ID, if one has been created for you. If it hasn't, you can set up an online account
  2. Once you've logged in, please link your EE product using the mobile number on this email
  3. You're now good to go - you'll get a pop up to download your eSIM

 

now have done all this. However option 2 as above, asks me for the phone number on the email I received. As this is the new eSIM number, which I have yet to set up on my daughter’s phone I can’t set it up as it asks for a code when I enter it, this code is sent to the eSIM number that I can’t access yet!!

 

On the EE app the safer sim number is showing in my account alongside my own number. But nowhere can I see the option to download the safer eSIM. 

im stuck what to do to download the eSIM if I can’t even get the option to download it.  

I haven’t got the time or patience to sit on the phone for ages with someone from EE, so hopefully someone here can help.
