Hi there. I have a Iphone14pro and I have applied a US mobile number with Esim already. In two weeks I will go to study in UK. Can I apply a UK mobile number with ESIM and using this new UK number to replace the original US number? I know it is easy to do that in UK alone or in US alone, however is it easy to replace from US to UK? Thank you all.

Good afternoon @Liumohan1002.
Are you aware if your current device is unlocked? this means it can accept a SIM from any network.
Speak soon,
Katie

@Liumohan1002 To have an eSim on EE you have to be a contract customer that contract can be sim only contract. The problem you’ll face is that at present you need to have a number on a sim card in order to activate the eSim on the device. you can not just activate the eSim sim like you do in the US.
Your iPhone can hold 8 eSims at any one time so you don’t need to delete your current US eSim.
So the first thing you need to find out is if you’ll be accepted to take out a contract. The next issue will be you’ll need a phone that can take a sim so you can request the eSim to take that number on your iPhone.
@Katie_B The US iPhone 14 pro max only has an eSim you can not put a SIM card in the device. This is why I’m hoping that iPhones of the future outside the US don’t have this as it’s just ridiculous as eSims can cause all sorts of issues if you don’t require the usage of an eSim and especially as EE only support eSim on contract.
