Activating a new pay as you go SIM card without using a phone

I’ve recently bought a Pay as you go SIM card and I need some help activating it. This SIM card is being used inside a teltonika device to allow me to use my phone online on holiday, as there is no WiFi in the holiday home. Is there a way to activate this SIM with its ICCID number rather than putting it into a phone? Thanks

@JJS8 : It should activate in any device as long it's used in UK 1st. Is that teltonika device a mobile router? I use EE PAYG SIMs in a mobile router occasionally & they work in it straight away, w/out ever putting them near a mobile phone.

The device is a dual sim WiFi router, so I believe that it should be fine.
Ah perfect, that’s good to hear. Unfortunately I don’t have access to the router as it’s already there, but thankfully it’s in the UK.

When I insert the sim will it be up and running immediately, or will I have to wait roughly 24 hours? Many thanks

Where is "there"? If that router is already abroad you won't be able to activate the SIM in it.
