Dear Customer Support,

I hope you are doing well. I am facing an issue with my SIM card. The network signal appears on my phone, but I am not receiving any SMS messages. I am unable to receive any incoming texts.

Kindly look into this issue and help me resolve it as soon as possible. Please let me know if you need any additional information from my side, such as my phone number or SIM details.

me what the issue is and how to resolve it. I need your help.

@nnadeem333 , you need to make sure that you have credit on your account to receive and send text messages and for making calls, otherwise you will not be able to receive, send text messages or make calls, as you are roaming and I presume you are on pay as you go, so please check here:

I top up but what should I do if I still don't receive the message? Please
first check if it's just a problem with the top up because I have zeros in
my credit.

Have you checked my number thoroughly to see if it will be OK to top up?

I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes!

@nnadeem333

Have you used that Pay as you go SIM in the UK before going to Pakistan?
Have you every received any normal messages on your SIM while in Pakistan, or has it never worked?

Please also try the SIM card in a different phone to test?

Ali

Yes, while living in Pakistan, I have also received normal messages, but
since June 2025, normal messages have been stopped. Now only EE company
messages are coming. Please tell me. Have you checked my number? If I top
up, these messages will start.

Waiting for your reply

@nnadeem333 , did you first use your SIM card in the UK? If not, you will not be able to use it until you return to the UK. We cannot check it for you, this is a public forum and we have no way of accessing accounts and knowing who you are, this is down to you to make sure that you have used your SIM card before going abroad.

If you did not use your SIM card before going abroad, you would have to send it back to the UK for someone to use it to activate it and then send it back.

How did you top up? It would make no difference if you did not use your SIM card in the UK first, as the only way is to do so in the UK, as it is a UK network SIM card.

@nnadeem333

Going back to what @XRaySpeX asked - when was the last time you sent a text message or made a call from your Pay as you go SIM?

And when was the last time you topped up?
