Hi there, I purchased a different travel sim because I didn’t want to me EE the 2.50 per day. My roaming and data is completely turned off from EE and I only have my data turned on for the travel E sim, why am I getting charged roaming from EE when I’m not using it? Thank you

@Freyabanks   How have you turned off roaming ?   as that’s an account option not a on device option unless you remove the sim or disable the eSIM if your using the eSIM for EE.    The option on your device to turn off data roaming just stops data when abroad it doesn’t stop the sim from being used for calls/texts when roaming.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

The £2.59 daily charge is incurred whenever your SIM makes or receives a call, sends a text message, or uses mobile data on an EU-based network.

For that to have been triggered, your phone must have connected to one of these networks and made or received a call, sent a text message or used mobile data.

It sounds like you may have disabled the "data roaming" option on your phone, which is often confused with roaming itself - the two are different. Roaming is an account-level setting which enables your SIM to connect to foreign networks. It's not possible to disable this yourself, only via EE-CS.

There's more to roaming than just data. You'll be charged for making or receiving calls & sending texts.
