Hi @Men0rca,

Welcome to the Community!

Could you let me know a little more about your roaming query?

Rach

Morning!
Have unlimited roaming etc etc. and totally rely on the phone for
tethering, tv, calls of course.
Arrived in Menorca, Spain yesterday as per my monthly visit but can't use
my phone to call out, pick up messages, text etc.
Extremely urgent as I need to contact medical teams etc and currently can't.
Can't call 150 or any of the suggested numbers on the EE website.
Need this sorting ASAP.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Are you able to manually switch to another network @Men0rca?

Also, have you made any changes to your account since you were last there?

Rach

@Men0rca , did you activate roaming on your account by either texting ROAMING to 150 or ringing customer service to activate it?

Did you receive the welcome message when arriving in Menorca?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 7953 966 or +44 330 123 1105.

Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.

Did you receive a Welcome text upon arrival?

Are you on contract or PAYG? Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before leaving to go abroad?

If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before leaving UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.

Otherwise if you are on contract you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hi, unable to switch network and no changes have been made to my account in
the last few weeks.
Thanks.

@Men0rca , you did not answer our questions whether you are on contract or pay as you go and when you last used your SIM card to make a chargeable call if on pay as you go?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 7953 966 or +44 330 123 1105.

Are you not seeing any networks when you try and switch @Men0rca, or are you having an issue when you select another network to try and connect to?
