Yes as @Schockwave has said you should already have this in your plan if it was taken out this year (on or after 29th August 2024), provided via the Roam Further Pass add-on - meaning there shouldn't be anything you need to do outside of the Roaming capability being enabled (which it must be if you can connect to US networks).

Your Inclusive Extra options won't show any Roaming Passes if this is the case, as they would all be built into the plan ("Roam in EU" for EU Roaming & "Roam Further Pass" for ROW Zone 1 Roaming).

I will attach a screenshot of the add-on from my own Full Works plan to show what this should look like:

Having the "Roam Further Pass" should mean you are able to use your allowances in the USA free-of-charge (subject to a 50GB Fair Usage Policy on Data) and shouldn't be asked to buy a pass.

As your roaming ability is already on it won't change. It's only the billing add-on you need.

I have had roaming in my contract forever as I travel for work.. it just wasn't turned on when I upgraded my phone.. it was a mistake.. and the agent was lovely sorting it out temporarily..

Am back on the road later with no WiFi.. cannot call the ee number to sort again..

If you are able to connect to US networks, your capability to roam onto foreign networks is switched on (Roaming is switched on).

I suspect what you're referring to instead is a billing add-on related to ROW Zone 1 Roaming charges.

Are you on an All Rounder or Full Works plan taken before 29th August 2024 by any chance? If so your Inclusive Roaming is dependent on an Inclusive Extra being selected; namely "ROW Roaming Pass" for the USA.

Have you tried going to Mobile Add-ons > Inclusive Extras > Change Inclusive Extra & selecting Roaming Pass ROW in your EE App or Online Account?

If the above does not apply, what plan are you on and when was your contract start date?

Thanks @Matt_124  I jave the full works amd my contract was renewed earlier this year... will try but the agent couldn't turn it on for me last Saturday and said I needed to call again and get switched on when I get home..

Unable to call ee to have a look.. will give your suggestion to try myself a go.. thank you.. 😊

@Xerxes1 ,with full works, it should be automatically included, but EE should have text you and let you know with the welcome text.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
