Roaming in Japan

EJGH

We’re going to Japan in September and EE’s bolt on for Japan gives 500Mb data per day. Will this be sufficient to use Google maps, Google translate, taxi apps etc? For £7.50/day, I don’t want to run out of data half way through. Thanks

Impossible for say for certain without knowledge of your usage, but I suspect it would be sufficient for all but the heaviest user.

Android & Apple phones have a data counter facility - if you synch this with your billing cycle, you should be able to break down your usage app-by-app month-by-month.

A local SIM will be an alternate option if you're going to use significantly more data than this. Remember to ensure roaming is enabled on your SIM, by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK
