Pay As You Go stuck on SOS / No Service in USA - Roaming flag reset needed

2106
Visitor
Hi,

I am currently in the USA and cannot receive any text messages because my phone is completely stuck on "SOS Only" / "No Service."

I am an EE Pay As You Go customer, and my SIM card is active (I recently topped up and have a confirmed £5 balance on the account). I am using an iPhone and have tried manually selecting both AT&T and T-Mobile, but the US networks are completely rejecting my SIM.

Could a community manager please look at my account profile and manually reset my roaming provisioning profile / activate the international roaming flag on the backend?

Thank you!

Thanks

Topping-up is not sufficient to activate it for roaming.

Had you used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before going abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

Hi @2106

As you're seeing SOS/ No Service error- are you able to test your SIM card in a different mobile phone? This would help rule out any handset faults.
