Did you mean:

No roaming in Greece

Hello I've landed in Corfu last night and we are staying in NW but my phone thinks I'm in Albania. I've tried manually switching to network to Vodafone GR which is the only Greek network available but it can not connect. I have free EU roaming included in my plan but seems like I am unable to use it.

Any ideas on what can I try?

Hello @berithalkolikes ,

Welcome to the community,

If you are on a monthly contract, did you enable roaming on your account by texting ROAMING to 150?

Did you receive their orders welcome message from EE when you landed?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hello yes I did but the issue I am facing is that my auto network is only connecting to Albania which is not in EU. When I try to manually switch it the only available network is Vodafone GR which I can not connect. Maybe EE blocking it ? Not sure

Hi @berithalkolikes

Thanks for reaching out here on the community.

I am sorry you are facing issues connecting whilst you are in Greece, I hope you are having a great time so far.

Could you check if you have a zero spend cap enabled, if so this will need to be increased.

You can check this via your My EE app, go to manage > mobile and sims > settings > spend cap

Make sure you are on the latest software.

Then try manually searching the Network again please.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks

Ritu

By "only available network" do you mean only VF-GR & Albanian operators have coverage where you are? Or that other Greek networks are available but you can't connect to them?

I'd expect the spend cap to only affect making & receiving calls once connected, rather than restricting access outright - but it's absolutely something worth checking. If you're connecting to Albanian networks, then roaming is self-evidently active.
