My son's phone is on my account. We are both on holiday, and both text Roaming before we left the UK. On his phone he is unable to select data roaming, the option is not there. He has text Roaming again, but no joy. How do I get EE to enable it?

Drama averted, his mobile data label was set to business instead of primary for some reason. When he switched it over, the data roaming option appeared. Thanks for your support guys.

Roaming means using your phone on foreign networks.
Data roaming means using mobile data whilst roaming, similar in concept to voice-roaming & text-roaming.
Does your son's phone show a network connection? Asked above, did your son's phone receive a welcome text message? Can your son make or receive calls? Can your son send or receive texts?

Hi, he did not receive a welcome message, although he did text ROAMING to 150 before we left. He can send texts and make calls but cannot access Internet when he switches off WiFi. My confusion is that the guidelines say "set data roaming to on" when you arrive, but he does not have a data roaming option to select in his settings.
