Hi all
I’m in Germany. Have upgraded to new phone and moved SIM to new device yesterday.
Did not have ability to call in/out or text. Unless on WiFi.
chatted to EE through chat function this morning who activated my SIM and I was able to receive iMessages however was on WiFi.
Still not able to call in/out. Have tried chat help function again however chat is only giving me the option now to call +447953966250 help number which I don’t have the ability to do
How do I speak to someone via chat or resolve this issue?

@Barbarella86 : Did you receive a Welcome text upon arrival?
Are you on contract or PAYG? Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before leaving to go abroad?
If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before leaving UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.
Otherwise if you are on contract you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.

Yes received welcome text but SIM was still in old phone
SIM stopped working on old phone yesterday saying within settings that number has transferred to new phone. Hence why I switched the SIM otherwise I would have left it till I returned home.
Have used same SIM abroad for years before this particular upgrade - on contract not PAYG and have had roaming activated for a long time.

Don't understand! How can old phone with SIM in it say number has transferred to new phone? No. follows SIM.

Are you using a physical SIM or electronic SIM? This could be fundamental...
Moving a working physical SIM (with roaming enabled) between two phones is one thing. Deactivating a working eSIM, and trying to activate another one whilst roaming, is something else.
If a physical SIM - does it still work in your old phone?
