Travelling in few days to India. Enabled Roaming by texting 150.

reply says all set for roaming in India.

It’s reads text will be send when India, also it reads, ‘ You will not have access to mobile data unless you by a pass’

how does it work, if the text comes with a link to buy travel pass? without mobile data access?

also, how it works to buy for 12 days, can one buy 7 days and 5 single days at the same time.

it will be helpful, EE Roaming page give more detail https://ee.co.uk/mobile/international/travel-data-pass

really appreciate if anyone used or have information could share their experience please.

Thanks

If you are on contract, you may use your usual UK allowances in the EE ROW Zone 2 with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more, when you buy the Zone 2 Pass for £7.50 / day or £37.50 / week. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/india.

In your case it'll be cheaper to buy 2 x 1 week passes in succession.

Providing you have enabled the free roaming facility, this allows your SIM access to foreign networks - which unlocks the ability to get coverage and consequently make & receive calls, send & receive text messages.

By design, you will be able to connect to links within EE's core network in order to purchase add-ons and suchlike - once add-ons are in-place, that access will be unlocked for full internet access.

You can only have one add-on in-place at a time, you will have to choose between (5x1) + 7 or vice-versa - and purchase them in that order. When one expires, purchase the next one.
