EE All Rounder 125GB, with Roaming Pass ROW (Zone 1)

Hi,

I have some questions about roaming data caps on my plan.

My plan: EE All Rounder 125GB, with "Roaming Pass ROW" (Zone 1) showing as an active Smart Benefit/Inclusive Extra on my account.

I'll be travelling to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam (Zone 1 destinations under this benefit).

Could you confirm the following:

1. Is there a data cap while roaming under the Roaming Pass ROW (Zone 1) benefit?
2. If there is a cap, does it reset on my normal UK billing date even if I'm still abroad, or does it apply once for the whole trip regardless of billing cycle?
3. What happens once I reach the cap - is data cut off completely, throttled to a slower speed, or charged at a surcharge rate?
4. Will I receive a text warning before I reach the cap, or only after I've exceeded it?

Could you confirm all of the above in writing (email or chat transcript) so I have it for reference while I'm away? Thank you.

Thanks for the response Northener but the 50+ documents listed don't outline anything related to how the add-on works and only details EU Roaming zones.  I will contact EE directly as it shouldn't be this difficult.

  1. Yes, there is a cap of 50 GB data / billing month whatever plan you are on & whatever roaming costs add-on you have.
  2. 50 GB data / billing month.
  3. You may be throttled or have to pay a surcharge.
  4. You should receive a text when you exceed the FUP asking you to explain your usage.

I just wrote this, so it is in writing but this user discussion group does not issue certified statements. No one will contact you from this user discussion group other than thro' the medium of these forums by posts such as this. Anyway we haven't the faintest idea who you are. You need to phone CS.
