Crazy new roaming charges

Hi,

I travel extensively around the world for work, particularly EU and USA. Everything was great with my inclusive add on as the roaming pass but now it seems I need either the EU pass or the Zone 1 and I can’t switch them on and off as needed only every 30 days which is no good to me as I could be in the states one week and Italy the next.

im wondering here if I get an O2 eSIM on a tariff that doesn’t charge roaming in the USA can I divert/forward all calls to the O2 eSIM to avoid roaming charges on incoming calls on my regular EE sim?

does anyone know if it’s possible to have EU AND Zone 1 at the same time?

Full Works plan gives you both. There are frequently offers on pricing and if you travel a lot it’s good value.   Looks like it’s £36 pm which also includes Netflix or TNT Sports (if either of those interest you )

I've just checked and I believe it is currently £48 for a Full Works SIM Only Plan.

£36 would be the pricing for an additional line as it gets a £12 multi-line discount.

But absolutely promotions come up from time to time that can make it significantly cheaper.

Wow it gets even sillier; I’m currently paying £73 for ‘All rounder’ with the inclusive extra on an iPhone 15pro. I guess it’s a case of calling them and trying to negotiate; no doubt they’ll want me to go onto a new 24 month contract to do it though. I’m in contract till December, at this stage it might be better to just pay the roaming until then and defect to O2. They really have messed it up, I wouldn’t have minded at all if they’d said your inclusive extra is now just EU and it’s an extra £10 month or whatever for zone 1

Hi there @Starsky3651

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you text PICK to 150 or call us on 150, you should have the option to change the Inclusive Extra.

To discuss your options for changing the plan, please call us on 150 and the team will be happy to help.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

I’ve just been discussing this with CS.

This issue needs resolving.

It is currently not possible to have both EU and ROW roaming packages at the same time

txting to 150 (according to CS) ‘sometimes’ works and if it doesn’t I have to call.

so now I have to call EE several times a month - it’s nuts!!

Hi there @Starsky3651

If you have any problems when texting PICK to 150, please call us and the team will get this looked into for you.

Did the guide look into changing the plan when you called?

Leanne.

@Leanne_T

Thanks no they didn’t look at changing the plan they just said you were working on resolving the situation or being able to have multiple roaming packages at the same time.

Sorry that doesn't work. I tried it a few times already with trying to switch roaming geographies over text but it doesn't work. Please fix it

An agent on phone told me that you can call them to switch geographies within a month. No need to wait each month. I am in your boat. Constantly travel between EU and US in the same month.
