I have a monthly unlimited calls, texts and data plan. Why do I have to pay extra for a two week trip to Portugal?

Hi @jaybeediamond

Thanks for coming to the community.

As @Chris_B mentioned, it will depend on your plan as to whether roaming is included.

On our current pay monthly contract range, you'll get EU roaming included on Essentials Plus, All Rounder and Full Works plans. Older plans that were taken before 7th July 2021 will also have EU roaming as part of it.

If it is not included you would pay £2.59 per day to use your allowances (up to 50GB data if your plan includes 50GB or more data), or you can purchase a 7 day or 12 day pass.

You can see more on the roaming charges on our website, and if you login to your online account, you'll see details specifically for your plan.

@jaybeediamond  If roaming isn’t included with your tariff you pay to use it abroad.  Your allowance is for UK usage.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

To add, different networks have different offerings which suit different people.

Some of the operators who market "free EU roaming" have a lower data-FUP than EE, to make one comparison.
