this is going to be long and please bear in mind i no nothing about technology.

i have a pay as you go ee sim for my smartphone after years of avoiding a smartphone but deactivated the pack as i only use the phone for emergencies and i have a three mifi so it didn't seem worth the money given i could just use the mifi on the phone.

after years of having my three 3g mifi it soon got to the point i was somehow using a months worth of data in 2 weeks which was odd as i didn't think there was much change in my usage (although i could be wrong), i thought maybe it was old so i bought a 4g mifi and a new sim as i realised i couldn't use the old 1 however now i'm using a months data in 1 week.

annoyed i realised that during the pandemic where i did on occasion use an add on for the covid app it lasted much longer than i thought so have thought about using a ee sim in my three mifi which i understand is possible but i'm having trouble understanding if i can a new sim number that would go in the mifi on my existing ee account.

i assume if i tried to create a new account to accommodate the one that would go in the mifi then ee would say "this email is already registered" or something like that. so is it possible to have 2 sim numbers on 1 account?

oh thanks but i've already bought a data sim on amazon and it was amazon choice so pretty sure it was legit. as for what i wanted manly just to find out whether the problems i was having with three were really my data usage or them not working properly, the max you can buy from them is 7gb for £25 a month and somehow i keep getting through it in a week, that's why i wanted a cheep ee sim so i can add on and ultimately do some test's.

That's only 6GB over 90 days for £20. From what you said earlier that you were using 7GB in a week, that's nowhere enough. You'd be better off with an EE PAYG phone SIM with a pack of 30GB data over 30 days for £20.

I was deliberately looking for one with the least amount of data, my aim is to test the add on's. That's why I was happy with the free one with no data on it originally.

Now I have a new problem. I got the sim, did everything, adder the account, got the app for my tablet and while I was able to access the new number on the browser I couldn't figure out how for the app as the app is set on the number for my phone rather than my mifi, but worst of all even though I can get there on the browser every time I try to buy data and get to the part to confirm my number I click "continue" it just takes me back to confirm the number. At first I thought it was because there wasn't any credit but that had the same problem. Someone at least tell me how to switch the number on the app?
