I work remotely and I have previously had an EE pay as you go sim to ‘power’ a router, which for the past few months I have not needed as I have been able to get an internet connection via our Vodaphone package. However for some reason the Vodaphone signal has started to dropped over the past couple of weeks and today has now completely dropped and they are unable/unwilling to explain why and but have finally agreed to send an engineer tomorrow, which means I now need to top-up my EE sim. I have just gone on my EE app to find my account is closed. Can you please advise what I need to do to top-up my sim?

@John624 : Sounds like your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.
When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
