Hi, I have had a two year contract with EE which ended this month. As I’m currently living abroad for a while I switched to the classic PAYG. However I’m coming back to England for a few weeks so will need to top up a larger amount and get a pack. Is this possible by just calling 150? And can I then just switch off the top ups for packs and go back to the classic PAYG?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

You've no need to call. Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.
Then to buy packs text ALL PACKS to 150 & select 1 you like.

@CathG495 Yes you can do exactly that. To stop the pack you just text STOP PACK to 150 and it’ll be a standard pay-as-you-go. You will however have no data allowance and to have data you need to purchase a 30 day data bundle if you require data. You’ll not however be able to switch to PAYG while your out of the UK as the sim will just not work until your back in the UK as it needs to activate as a PAYG sim and this can not be done on a roaming network.

Thanks Chris, I will do it as soon as I arrive. That’s really helpful. I assume I just call 150 to top up then packs will be available to me?
