Hi,
Last time I bought a new PAYG phone from the EE website, I found the compulsory top-up was on the new SIM on the new phone number issued with the new phone.
I wanted to transfer the top-up onto the EE phone number I had currently been using with my old phone.
I think the only way I was able to do it was to visit an EE shop and get them to somehow transfer it via their computers in store.
Is there a way of purchasing a phone through EE without a SIM and just transfer the top-up by voucher onto the EE number I am currently using and use that SIM in whichever new phone I decide to buy without visiting a store?
Hope some people are able to help.
Thanks.

No, EE only sell phones with SIMs & any credit on that SIM is not transferable to another. That's why it's never a good idea to buy a PAYG phone from EE, with its mandatory £10 or more credit, when you already have a PAYG SIM from EE. Better to buy a SIM-Free phone outright from somewhere like Amazon.

As a network operator, EE only sell phones tied to a subscription of some kind.
You appear to be seeking a SIM-free phone, which you can purchase from any reputable high street or online electronics retailer.
