New pay as you go sim

I bought a pay as you go sim card from Argos and registered and subscribed online at home by paying £15. I can receive text and calls and can send text but I can not make a call. It says, you don't have enough credit! Whereas, the amount (of £15)  has already been taken away from my account. Then, after two days, I received a new sim card (which I haven't ordered). I suppose, the £15 credit has been added to that new sim card! I don't know. I'd have opened it, but I like the phone number of the first sim card. So, if the new sim has the £15 credit, can I switch the number to the first sim card? I don't know if it makes sense as both sim belongs to the same network (ee).

There is no reason why the 2nd SIM, which you must have ordered, should have any credit belonging to the 1st SIM.

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)? Do this from both SIMs.
