How can I connect my Apple Watch to my mobile data

Hi. I ordered a new Apple Watch SE on Saturday and I have just got it today but I can’t seem to connect my mobile data to it. When I do try it says no sim no contract help please.

What is the full error message you see when trying to setup your data plan?

On the watch it says

no sim

no connection 

 

but on my phone it says I’m with EE

I have just checked my EE account and the plan has changed but not the device.

Have you paired your watch with your phone via the Apple Watch App on your phone?

Yeah it is paired all so I get this message too

Did you purchase a personal paired plan or a family member plan @Bones1981?

It’s says stand alone on my account
