Please, help! As I'm aboard at the moment can't get through by phone calls. Just wanted to pass my old Huawei P30 Pro to my family member but by trying to enter IMEI code it keeps showing me error from different devices, different WiFi. Phone is useless for different Network.
As it should be for free Im not considered doing it for money. It has been paid off contract, so everything should be ok.
Thank you,
Sintija

Thanks for joining us on Community @SS1101
Most devices we've sold from July 2021 are no longer locked to EE, so it's worth checking to see if your device is locked to our network.
If it is locked, it's free and easy to unlock online, just use the online unlock form at Unlock EE Devices

@SS1101
If your IMEI is not being recognised, you'd need to contact Customer Support on +44 (0)7953 966 150 option 2,
Contact Us | Help & Support | EE where a guide will manually request the unlocking code for you.

Still is not being recognised and they can't help. My old phone is useless because of that.

I’ve been trying to unlock my phone for days now to pass it on to a family member for use on a different network. Despite multiple attempts to contact EE, they keep telling me that the IMEI number is wrong and can’t be recognized, so they’re unable to help.
I bought this phone from an EE store, and now it’s basically useless. I’m really disappointed that I’ll have to pay someone else to unlock it even though it has to be done for free....

@SS1101
What did they say when you contacted our Customer Support team?
Usually they raise a manual unlock ticket request directly through to the Manufacturer if our system doesn't recognise the IMEI.
