Annual MOT includes what?

Hey guys, 

I booked an appointment the other Day for a free MOT, and went there and got asked If there was anything that i would like to get done..

I said that I'd just liked it cleaned and a new screenprotector. I can understand that the app for checking preformance doesn't work or that the screenprotectors are out of stock. But when i got my phone back it was dirtier than before and then front camera was also still dirty. Also the backside of the phone and the screen had some sort of film from the substance used for cleaning. I didn't expect much from a free checkup but, is the check with the MOT app, and a little wipe with a cloth, what's being includes in it?

This is what our Service Pack help page says about the MOT:

"Every year we'll make sure your device is still performing at its best. So we'll give your device a thorough health check with a diagnostic tool, a clean and polish, as well as a check for any apps or software that could help you get more out of your device.

We'll then send you a full service report which will include recommendations on how to keep your device working beautifully.

While you're at your appointment, we'll also take a look at your account to see if you could be saving money or getting more value from EE. plus, you'll get another £10 off premium cases or screen protectors when you come in for your appointment."

Sorry to hear that there were no screen protectors and that the diagnostic tool wasn't working. I'm sure if you go back again in future, they'll give you the full service.

Hi @Christopher_G, thanks for the reply.

I asked If there was any EE store in the same city, that have got screenprotectors for My device, but i got recommendation for buying it on Amazon instead, as they don't get Them separately from the phones, so i don't think they Will be able to. 

When it comes to the checking preformance app, it seems to lack support for some models from certain manufacturers. I think that I'll be checking xda developers for preformance tuning guides instead, as they seem to have everything thinkable.

The text message that you receive about the MOT actually lies by saying your phone will be polished and cleaned. When I asked the advisor to do that for me, she was shocked 😳 and said NO, we don’t do that. 
She downloaded a Telnet app to my phone then connected to her device. Eventually she said OK. She tried to sell me a few services and that’s it.

For me the whole MOT thing is a joke, really.
