Hello when I orderd this device it said it would be delivered on the 1st which is Today and I haven’t heard anything at all

Have you checked EE order tracking or the DPD app.
I would suspect DPD have a reduced service if any service today.

You'd only be sent the tracking number by DPD when the phone is with the usually the evening before delivery, but as @Northerner mentioned, DPD wouldn't be delivering today with it being New Year's Day.
I can have a look at the stock to make sure there are no delays in the model you ordered.
I'd just need the iPhone model, colour, storage size and order date.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max doesn't have a 128GB version. It is available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.

Looking at our stock, the estimated dispatch time for the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB in silver was up to 14 days at the start of the 31st, then changed to up to 21 days later in the day, so I'm not sure why you saw it would be delivered today.
Once there is stock available for your order, you'll be notified that it will be on the way and DPD will give you the tracking details.
If the colour wasn't important and you wanted the phone sooner, the Cosmic Orange version is in stock. If you wanted to change, you'd need to give our customer service guides a call so they can cancel the current order and you can order again.
