Trying to join EE from BT today but gave up.
The online order form was easy enough for the most part but then I got to the Direct Debit section.
I have an excellent credit rating so didn't foresee any problems, that is until I got to the one about the date I joined my bank which required me to enter the exact date, I'm pretty sure it was the best part of 30 years ago but what exact day, month and year? I have no idea and I can't even find that information by logging in to my bank account, how on earth can anyone answer a question like that

Hi @James_B
This question was in the Credit Check section of the form so I didn't fancy the idea of entering what, in all likelihood, would be false information so I went into store instead and the guys there got everything sorted for me in a matter of minutes with no such ridiculous questions.
I guess the morale of the story is pretty clear, don't bother spending ages online trying to do the impossible when the guys instore can do it for you in a jiffy.

Hi @Happy2Strum,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
If you don't know the exact date when you opened your bank account, I'd recommend entering your best estimate.
James
