Got an email about thanks for upgrading but no further communication

I ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB in black, it said expected dispatch in 1 day. 

I ordered online and got a confirmation email, but nothing further. I used the online chat function and they said expected to be dispatched in one day, but I could place another order if I want?! Why would I do that if an order is in progress?

 

I can see other people have had the same issue, but I also spoke to customer services before I upgraded and they told me they had all colour variants in stock (even though the website said 21 days for purple).

I ordered it at 8am yesterday. 


I chatted online last night and the advisor said the order was due to be dispatched, but I could order another if I wanted. 


I rang up this afternoon and they told me there had been an error and they cancelled the order and said I could redo it online.

Whilst I was on the phone I got a text saying my order was going to be dispatched. 

I tried to upgrade online and it wasn’t available. So I had to ring customer services and they sorted it out over the phone in the end. 

Moral of the story is, if you upgraded online and got an email, but NO text, then just ring up as apparently this has been a problem for a few people at the moment.
