Fold 4 Release, earlier than expected for others?

Hey all, does anyone know if EE is releasing their Fold 4s earlier than expected? I ordered mine a week ago and it still says I have to wait for the launch which is the 26th. Meanwhile my friend, who ordered hers just Saturday, a few days ago, was told she'd be receiving her order today via dpd.

 

Anyone experiencing this?

@Bakerbob0210  If she ordered from Samsung before the 21st then Samsung was shipping them for the 21st.   the official date is the 26th

No, she ordered from EE, last Saturday. I was  with her when she ordered it and she showed me her chat with EE saying she is to be expecting delivery today.

Not just yet, the agent just messaged her on the EE chat (via the app) that delivery is to be expected today (their conversation was yesterday).

She hasn't received any updates from DPD though.

@Bakerbob0210  DPD notify the recipients of any delivery usually before 11 o’clock on that day with an estimated timeslot.    You also get a notification the day before both from EE and DPD about a delivery for the following day. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Chris_B is correct. I would have expected your friend to have received a timeslot from DPD already if it was being delivered today.

Please keep an eye out for a text from DPD so you know when to expect your delivery.

It isn't looking like those who ordered from EE will be getting early delivery.

I happened to order a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro from Samsung, for which the official release date is also August 26th, but I got mine on Friday last week (19th), so a week ahead of schedule. But as I said, that was direct from Samsung, not through EE.

Ordered mine last week too nothing but am order number so far. Fifers crossed for early delivery as my friend ordered her child 4 Saturday via samsung.com and got hers delivered today

The key is, she ordered direct from Samsung, not from EE.

I would be astonished if anyone ordering from EE, or from any carrier for that matter, got theirs more than a day before the official release day this Friday.
