EE Store upgrade

I upgraded in store to the iPhone 14 pro max black and was told the order would be within 7 days, as I had heard nothing since I popped into the same store yesterday. When I asked about the deliver dates to stores I was told completely different information. It would now take 21-32 days. Which is correct as I’m now totally lost? How can they advise 7 days when it will take longer. The best about it is I have been with EE from when they were orange. So being lied to really dents that loyalty. Do I continue the upgrade or cancel and leave?

so I called 150 as directed. They are unable to explain the reason for the delay. They gave me the option to cancel the order and go to the start of the queue, which is unacceptable. As they have explained to me 

when I ordered it stated 14 days - basically from the day I ordered the phone it should have been out to me 2 weeks after order.

if I was to order the phone today it states 28 days - basically if I ordered the handset today it would take up to 28 days for me to receive this.

now my question which they could not answer. If when I ordered the phone it states 14 days for delivery, why is is now over the 14 day mark. 
the expectation set by EE was 14 days. 

so I ask you. Why am I not getting my new upgrade at the set expectation date by EE.
