xBox Game Pass Ultimate offer - how to get started?

Just joined EE, BT made me, but it seems I get a 12 month free subscription to xBox Game Pass Ultimate. Got email about this add-on. It says it will be ready within 14 days of my activation... not sure exactly when that was but EE did charge me £77 in Sept, would that be my activation date?
Anyway, installed EE app and then followed link saw 3 things I could click. One was subscriptions, I tried that, found game pass but it said £12 per month.
So questions are...
1. How do I find out my activation date so I can count to 14. Side question, couldn't ya'll do that in the email since you have all the info? e.g. write... after X Date you are eligible for 12 months.... more user/customer friendly since you do "warn" about charging if you do it early
2. How do I get started with the xBox Game Pass Ultimate (I iwll only be using for PC)? I have never used a subscription service nor Game Pass obviously and don't have xBox but do have PC and Laptop

Hope everything is going well with your new broadband and it's great you are wanting to know more about the Game Pass.
Your activation date is the date your broadband started with us. You will get an email when the Game Pass is ready to be activated so I'd recommend waiting on that before starting the set up process. I appreciate your feedback on giving a more precise date, I will raise this with the relevant department to see if we can implement that going forward.
The email you will receive to set it up should take you through the journey and keep you right, but the set up consists of clicking on the link, going to your EE account and activating the pass. It will then direct you to your Microsoft account to link your subscription.
