Hi, I have just upgraded today 23/11/24 to a pixel 9 pro xl and it says that you can claim a free pixel buds pro 2 so thought I would look how to claim eventually when it arrives but on Google it says the deal expired on 5/11/24!! Only went for this as you got the free buds..
Does anyone know if it's about to start a new claim period? Going to send it back if it's not right.

Where did you see the details of this offer? The only offer I can see ended on the 5th of November.
Most of these promotions are run by the manufacturer and they will have a purchasing window in which you would have had to purchase the device to be able to claim, so even if they decided to run the offer from tomorrow you would not be eligible as you purchased before.
If you placed your order before the 5th of November and just didn't receive it until now, you would likely still be eligible for the promotion if you have an order confirmation showing your purchase date.

Just when I was looking on the phones and it said save on trade in and free pixel buds too.. just before you click on the picture to look at the phone..I took a screenshot

That definitely shouldn't have been showing as the offer for the free Pixel Buds Pro 2 was only available directly with Google for purchases made between 8th October and 5th November.
I've tried looking online today and it isn't showing me the offer.
At the moment, the only Google Pixel offer with free buds is to get a set of Google Pixel Buds A-Series, from 20th November, when purchasing a Google Pixel 8a handset.
If the Buds were the deciding factor and you wanted to return the phone, there is information on how to request this on our Return a device or SIM bought within the last 14 days page.

Good evening
I have got the same problem as the original poster
I upgraded to pro 9 xl on the 10/11/24 and waited for the 2 week period and when i bought it the website stated that you could claim
Screen shot taking 8/11/24, even then the deal had ended.
Now i can't claim, so i can't return my phone if i wanted to.
Thankfully im not the only one who got this problem.
Hopefully we can resolve this problem

Thanks for sharing those details for us @CosmicMonster.
I've highlighted this with the relevant teams so we can make sure that this is checked over and any references to expired offers removed.
Like @Michael_D mentioned, you're within the cooling off period for this so can certainly request cancellation if there was a different handset you would rather go for outside of the offer.
If you wanted to look over if there were any other options available with this too, then I'd definitely recommend reaching out to our team and they'll say for sure what we can do here.
