Text message about early upgrade to z fold 4

Andy01392

I received a text message saying I can upgrade early for free to the z fold 4 and to ring 150 or go in store to do so. I just rung 150 and got told I still have to pay £479 early upgrade fee. Why am I getting texts saying I can upgrade for free and then being told I have to pay nearly £500 to do it

Hi @Andy01392.

I'm sorry to hear this.

In your My EE Account under Plan & Add-Ons, what is your contract end date?

Hi not sure if you managed to get it sorted but I got the exact same message and I still have less than a year on my contract, roughly £500 too and I managed to upgrade to the fold 4.hope this helps. Maybe give them a phone again

How free was it? I ask because I'm trading in my note 20 ultra and they said it was free but I'm still paying £1600 for the phone because they're taking money off the phone for my ore existing contract which I still have £400 of to pay off.

I had £129 left on my contract I upgraded to the z flip 4 with the £61 a month plan had to pay £30 for the handset
