Later in the year I will be travelling to the USA, the Travel Data pass will give me data but not the ability to text, does this mean I have to buy the Roam Abroad pass as wellas the Travel Data Pass? Can't seem to get to speak to anyone at EE all automated responses! Can anyone advise please?

Hi @linedancer

Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.

The travel data pass is data only.

The roam abroad pass is what you need on pay monthly contract https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roam-further-pass

Thanks

You wouldn't need the Travel Data Pass when you have bought the Roam Abroad Pass as it covers all your UK allowances, not just data.

I've been to the USA twice and used the roaming further pass so I'd day that's your best option it's a bit pricey at £25 but the speeds you get from AT&T and T-Mobile are really good i had no issues when I was there

Thank you, I am pay monthly. In this country I have 1GB as my allowance which is fine for me but wondered if I would need more when away and the add-ons seem to suggest they are for the EU, that's why I wondered if I would have to get the Travel Pass in order to get more data?

Only you would know whether you're likely to use more data whilst travelling, but if your 1GB UK allowance runs out whilst abroad you can purchase your chosen data add-on at the time.

You can't use mobile data whilst roaming, without an add-on covering it.
