Roaming Abroad

Hi,

I purchased the Roaming Abroad add-on from 21st October 2024 and travelled to New Zealand on 22nd. I was told by EE on the phone that's all I needed to do, and I was not told there was any other setup necessary.

I've been using my full data allowance on the assumption that this is covered by the Roaming Abroad add-on.

Can someone please confirm that my data roaming has not been incurring an additional cost?

Hi @LukeAnd

You'll need to look in your app or on EE web portal. Alternatively speak to EE CS on 150.

There is no customer account access on these forums.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Hi Northener,

The EE web portal is saying there's an error in accessing my 'Add-Ons' so won't let me see the screen.....

And I'm worried about the cost of phoning 150 from here in New Zealand.

Hi @LukeAnd

Thanks for getting back to us.

Do you have access to the EE app?

Try texting BALANCE to 150 as an alternative. This is free.

@LukeAnd : You wouldn't be able to use any of your data allowance in NZ if the Roam Abroad Pass wan't operating properly.

Had you activated roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Yes, but it's not working when I try to log on. Keep getting error messages when I try to access Add-Ons or a detailed breakdown of my bill.

Yes - this was a good call, thank you. My balance is 0, so presumably this means I'm not incurring any unexpected costs from my roaming!

That said, I'm fairly confident, now, that I'm not being charged anything unexpected as I've got a £5 cap on spending over my monthly fee - and I would certainly have exceeded this with the amount of data roaming I've been doing.

Thanks for your replies, everyone.
