Roam abroad pass and gifting of data

Hi,  so we are going on holiday to the USA, I am planning on adding the roam abroad pass so I can access my plan minutes and data.

if I gift data to my wife and kids will they be able to use this while in USA?

Yes, as long as they are in UK or somewhere that they may use their UK allowances.

Thanks.  So they couldn’t use the gifted data in America?  

so effectively everyone would need the roam abroad add on to use data abroad?

@Dhshs  Yes all devices need the roaming abroad pass.  It’s not account related it’s device related.
