Help with Unlimited data add-on

Hi,

 

My sister called customer services to speak about something, and the agent out of the blue offered her a free unlimited data add on to her sim only contract, free of charge. 

She has the 160GB Sim Only package otherwise.

 

Is this add on (free of charge) available to all EE customers and how do you qualify for it? Also, with the unlimited data add on, do they throttle speeds?

Nothing is free.she has either changed her plan or extended it. She should have signed something digitally if her contract has changed. I would add there is no such thing as an unlimited data contract as the T&C clearly say that unlimited is 600GB per month. Please read the T&C.

 

Have you tried calling EE CS on 150?

The thing is she has only just joined EE on a 24 month contract a couple of weeks ago so I don’t see how she could have been extended? We’ve checked her contract on MyEE and everything is the same. There is just an add on, which says unlimited data. The price is also the same…

The agent mentioned how she’s been on EE for a long time so they are giving it to her as a loyalty thing, but I think they made a mistake, as she’s just joined..

That’s why I’m wondering what this add on is about…

@SammyxVine90  Your sister needs to look at her account under add ons,  if she has been given a add on it will show there.  

 And if she has been given it free of charge then she’s very lucky and you’ll not get this offer yourself as it was an offer just for her at that time and it’s not something you can have unless you are offered it.

Yes, it’s showing on her add-ons. There is no expiring date either.

 

What I am wondering is how did the get that offer? She’s only just joined. It’s not like she was in the end of her contract or half way through it..

Do you know how much unlimited data add on is?

@SammyxVine90  have a look at THIS you might have an offer to have it cheaper.

I’ve for a offer to have it for £10 but it’s usually £20

My sisters one is called ‘ free unlimited data boost’.

I’m just wondering how she got it tbh, because it’s definitely on her add-on’s. Did the agent just give it away for free or is it some error/mistake?
