Is student discount available?

I swapped my gifgaf for a new EE sim card (no number change) at the ee shop this lunchtime and I didn't know there was a student discount at studentbeans until now(£14.40 for a 125GB sim card).

I just finished my business this afternoon and haven't made the first payment yet, the signal migration for the new sim card won't be completed until Monday so I'm wondering if I can change my package to this offer.

Hope to hear from you soon, thanks!

I called 150 and they said it would take 30 days before I could change the plan and I should be able to use the vouchers to pay after the package has been changed.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I am going to call tomorrow (possibly) and ask about it, I feel that such student benefits should be told in the shops rather than me finding out that there is such an event on my own.

What is the point of such an event if all students have to find out about the offer themselves? Is it hide-and-seek?

Thank you for your reply.

I know this shouldn't be done, having just ordered the package then immediately amended it.
But I'm going to call tomorrow (probably) and ask anyway, I feel that such student benefits should be told in the shop and not for me to find out there is such an event on my own.

As for whether it will work or not, that will depend on the official response so far 🤣

By the way, the staff member who helped me with my card didn't seem to be very skilled, he didn't even know where the page up/down button was to select the type of card (he told me there were only three card packages, in fact you can press the left and right flip buttons to select more)

Anyway if I call and remember to share, I'll be happy to share the end result☺️
