Have I been scammed?

Hello. I have been called from the number 01572 244002. She offered me a 40% discount on my EE contract and free Apple AirPods. She received my e-mail address and send me EE forgot your password link. I used the password that she gave to me and registered the password. She received my address for Airpod delivery and gave me a reference number. I immediately changed the password after the phone call. After all, I am sure that I have been scammed but what is the purpose of this I can't understand. Does anyone know more?

Sounds like a Scam.

Once anybody starts talking about Passwords, changing or reconfirming Passwords or send or give links out, Alarm Bells should be ringing.

Hopefully you don't use the same Password(s) across all of your Accounts, if you do then you better get busy this afternoon changing them All if you have submitted any Personal Details to potential Scammers.

Hi @IlkeAdas

Welcome to the community.

It certainly sounds suspicious. I'm glad to hear that you have changed your password. If you use the same one for anything else, I would recommend changing that too.

I would also recommend reporting this following the advice on our How to report abuse and phishing to EE page.
