F&F discount not applied

Hi,

 

I ordered a new phone for my mother earlier this week and moved her over from Vodafone so she can make use of the discount I get working for Openreach. When I completed the online order it showed the correct monthly price and that the discount code I had only just generated had been applied successfully, however it asked me to call one of your team members to confirm the order. 
I spoke to a lovely girl who checked and confirmed all of the details but when she tried to submit the order it wasn’t letting her with the discount applied. She stated she would have to wait until the line has been activated and would then get the discount applied. The line is now active and the number has been fully ported over from Vodafone however when I check the My EE app it is not showing the friends and family discount.

Can anyone help or is this going to be a case of having to call in to get this resolved?

Discount codes may only be applied at PoS when buying a new contract or upgrading, not mid-term.
