EE PERKS ACCOUNT LOCKED

Hi,

 

I'm trying to help my mother-in-law set up her perks account.

She registered last night and got the mail to verify and when she went to log in she fumbled her password a few times and got the message, "Maximum Login Attempts reached, For security this account has been locked for the next 24 hours.".

She realized she was using capitals in the wrong place and knows what it is now, she tried it again this morning and the message was still there. Its now been 24 since she first got locked out and its still saying the same message.

Does the 24 hour lock reset every time she tries to log in within the 24 hour period?

so that'll mean she will have to wait another 24 hours from now to be able to set it up? 

Would the verification link expire after a certain time because she's not logged in?

 

She was hoping to simply upgrade but this has made it a very long and complicated process when really it shouldn't be.

Yes, you'll need to leave a full 24 hours between login attempts.

 

You have up to 30 days to verify your email address.

Hi. We've waited a full 24 hours since the last failed attempts and now it's saying the log in details are incorrect when she has said they 100% are. 

Is there any way to reset the password just to make sure?

Since your last post has your mother in law been able to log in?

 

You can select forgot password on the log in page for a password reset link.
