@Gaz1973 : No, it isn't. The Roam Abroad Pass covers the EU, USA, Canada, Mexico, NZ & Oz.

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/unitedarabemirates.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

If you are on PAYG, make sure you have used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text before leaving the UK.

I thought South Africa was covered in the Roam Abroad Pass.

Hi @Yorkie6

No, South Africa is not included. You can find more information and inclusive destinations on our roam abroad pass help page.

Chris

Hi Chris. It’s very confusing. This is the text I received when signing up in June 23. “Hi from EE, the Roam Abroad Pass will give you access to use your plan's minutes, texts and data allowance whilst in the EU, USA, Canada, Mexico, China, South Africa, Australia & New Zealand for £10 per month. If you wish to add the Roam Abroad Pass please reply YES.”

I can't find anything related to China or South Africa in our Roam Abroad Pass information, @Yorkie6

Could you post a screenshot of the message please?

@Yorkie6 : I believe that is the case with business contracts. I was referring to consumer contracts above.
