Leanne.

They will ask you to change password starting with ee then some numbers and after that instead of reducing your bill they will change your contract with new one and they will order phone in your name , you'll receive phone also message that you requested new update , this happened to me , instead of 21 £ I get to pay 73£ per month and I started checking in app what happened,  I called several times on 150 to speak with customer service and they confirmed that on my account is all good and nothing was changed,  but after receiving phone home and message that I changed contract I called again 150 and ask them how is possible as long as I did not do the upgrade and also how is possible as I was calling several times to check and they said that no change was done on my contract!!

Also their steps are identical like EE identification,  same message, same with code ,you cannot tell if is EE or a 3rd part  and EE knows about this but also not doing nothing not to happen

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

No company should ever know your password. If they don't know it then it can't be stolen or misused. Possibly EE only keep 2 digits of your password - which is not so bad, but still concerning.
