voicemail will not activate

I have tried all of the things to turn on my voicemail. I can get into it myself to set up the message but when people call they cannot leave a message. I have followed the guide on the site, texted VM ON to 150 and get the message "sorry we are having trouble completing your request at the moment. please try again later"

tired to forward it to vm but got an error saying that my career doesn't support this. so im kinda stuck. Any advice?

There was a known issue with enabling and disabling VM by texting 150.

When I called up and spoke with support they did something in the back end which allowed me to reenable it. Then if you're on an iPhone and want Visual Voicemail the lady I spoke to enabled that manually for me after I was able to re-enable VM by SMS.

What happens when you call voicemail from your phone? Either by speed-dial 1 or manually calling 222?

If you're not able to resolve, CS should be your next port of call - 150 from your mobile.

I recently encountered this problem.  The workaround I use on my Samsung is to go to the settings section on the dialler pad and select supplementary services, then go to call forwarding.  The number for the call forwarding service will be blank and you will have to insert that into the four fields for the various forwarding options.  I imagine this will be the same for all Android phones.

Yeah tried this as well. I get an error when I try to forward to the voicemail number
